


Rohit and Nisha become friends and share a good rapport. Soon, Nisha learns about Rohit's mental disability from Sonia and feels sympathy for him. Enters Nisha (Preity Zinta), who is instantly befriended by Rohit and his friends. Nonetheless, he has a loving heart, some good young friends with whom he spends most of his time. Rohit (Hrithik Roshan) grows up to a young man with limited intellect and childish personality. Sonia delivers a baby boy, Rohit, albeit with serious mental disabilities. Sonia survives and returns back to India however the unborn child suffers brain damage. Sanjay throws Sonia out of the car and dies on the spot. On the way, he notices an alien spaceship in his vicinity resulting in an accident due to the confusion.


Humiliated, he returns back home along with his pregnant wife, Sonia (Rekha). Finally one day, he receives a response and hurries to the space-research center to inform the scientists only to be scoffed at. He creates many variations of the syllable "Om" in order to attract the attention of extraterrestrial life.
